Embroidery - Adventures of the Happy Blob, Part 1

Once upon a time we sat down to create a classic paisley patterned design . . . but being silly people we added a smiley face and the "Happy Blob" was created, we then giggled lots, and gave him an adventure.  Ever watched a teady bear having an "activity bath" in the washing machine?

We've still not got around to doing that paisley design.

Technically speaking it's a bit of an oddball embroidery as there is no backing fabric behind it. Instead we hoop polycotton taut over the front of the shirt and use the polycotton as stabiliser as it gets appliqued on.

This embroidery design is on a children's kiwi coloured sweatshirt (PL0013)

Buying info:

We machine embroider small batches of quality pre-made garments with our own unique designs, using our own artwork and our own stitch design.

Children's sizes only available from stock for £20 plus p&p to UK destinations  - direct UK sales only (we're not planning on putting children's sizes on Etsy).

The kiwi colour has been discontinued in child sizes so we have limited stock left, and will not be able to produce any more on childrens kiwi sweatshirts after they are gone:

 3 off - M (7/8 years to fit 30")

 2 off - L (9/11 years to fit 32"/34")

 3 off - XL (12/13 years to fit 34"/36")

We use a quality base garment manufactured by Gildan who are members of the WRAP ethical manufacturing group.

The sweatshirt fabric is cotton and polyester mix, the embroidery is rayon (artificial silk).

It is machine washable. It can be ironed on 2 stars, iron it inside out on the back of the embroidery or on the front using a pressing cloth. Do not hot tumble dry as the cotton in the sweatshirt will shrink. Do not bleach, because that would be stupid.

As always we recommend that you tell us the wearer's chest size in inches when ordering and we'll advise the correct size garment. For children please also tell us the garment length wanted (nape of neck to hem measured on the back).

We can also do commissions on different colours and garment types, and can modify or make to measure for hard to fit sizes - just send us a message.
